Kozlowski was the captain of the college's only bowl team -- the 1945 squad which finished the season 8-1 and lost to Miami in the Orange Bowl on a game ending interception for a touchdown. Kozlowski won the George Bulger Lowe Award in 1945 as the outstanding college player in New England. Noted for his running and kicking, especially on kick-off and punt returns. He also averaged 39.5 yards per punt. In addition to his work on the gridiron, Kozlowski competed on the Crusader golf team.  He played one season of pro ball with the Miami Seahawks after graduation.
