Biography

Titis played on teams which had a combined 23-3-2 record, as he was a star center in what was a golden age of Crusader football. His senior year was his most outstanding season, as he was chosen first team All New England and All East, as well as second team All America. He served as captain of the college All Star team which upset the NFL’s New York Giants at Yankee Stadium in the fall of 1940. Titis played four years in the NFL with the Brooklyn Dodgers (three seasons) and Pittsburgh Steelers.  He passed away in 1989.
