Biography

Although not a graduate of Holy Cross, Father Reidy, who attended Georgetown University, gave countless hours of his time to athletes in all sports, especially in football and lacrosse. He was instrumental in having lacrosse declared a varsity sport in 1958 and helped start the game at the school in the mid-1950's. He helped the first New England All Star game become a reality in 1960 at Fitton Field. In football, he helped tutor the Holy Cross kickers for a number of years and his advice has been of exceptional importance to a number of players.
