A three-time All-New England and three-time All-District selection, Vicens led the Crusaders in scoring in both his freshman and sophomore seasons - prior to the arrival of Ron Perry. He also led the team in field goal percentage during his junior season, when he hit 53.8 percent of his shots from the floor. He scored 23 points against No.1 ranked Michigan in the 1977 NCAA Tournament. His 1,721 career points were sixth all-time at HC when he graduated. Drafted by the New Jersey Nets in 1978, Vicens also played for his native Puerto Rico in the 1976 Summer Olympics.
