The younger brother of Holy Cross Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bill Osmanski, Osmanski proved to be a Crusader Hall of Famer in his own right. He was a powerful runner, leading the Crusaders to a 21-0 victory over an excellent Carnegie Tech team on runs of 46 and 24 yards in 1939. He was also instrumental in wins over Georgia, Brown, Colgate, NYU and Boston College.
Osmanski also played baseball at Holy Cross, and the Crusaders were 39-10-1 during his four seasons. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins after graduation, but ended up playing with the Chicago Bears (and his brother Bill) for several seasons. He passed away in 1993.
