Andreoli was a three-year starter at defensive end and linebacker for the Crusaders, and competed on teams which accumulated an overall record of 21-23 against the a challenging schedule of the best teams in Eastern I-A football. He was instrumental in the win over Harvard in 1981 when he blocked a punt and recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown which provided the winning margin. He was a co-captain of the 1981 team, and was honored that season by being chosen first team All New England, first team All ECAC and honorable mention on the All East squad.He was chosen as the 1982 Crusader of the Year. Following graduation, Andreoli enjoyed a professional football career and was featured on the “Wheaties Box” as a member of the New England Patriots. After his pro career ended he entered the high school coaching field.
