Biography

"Jackie Mo" is the epitome of Holy Cross Athletics. He worked behind the scenes at every Holy Cross athletic event for more than 35 years. Originally, Moriarty worked both as an athletic trainer and equipment manager. Since the 1990's, however, he devoted himself entirely to handling HC’s athletic equipment. With his hard work and dedication, he was widely regarded as the backbone behind all Holy Cross athletic teams and was seen at almost every home event. He joined Holy Cross from the time he graduated from Springfield College in 1971 until his retirement in 2009 and impacted every athlete that has ever stepped foot on the playing or practice fields for the Crusaders. Moriarty is considered to be a “walking encyclopedia” when it comes to HC athletic alumni and receives many visits from past Crusader greats during Alumni weekend.
