Biography
An outstanding athlete from
Baltimore, Pacunas excelled in football as a two way end and
in lacrosse as a center mid-fielder. He starred in both
football and lacrosse to give Holy Cross winning seasons in all
three of his varsity seasons. During his junior football
campaign in 1958, he was instrumental in a 14-13 victory over a
strong Syracuse team. The next year, as a senior, he was
named team captain.
In lacrosse, he was selected for the North-South All-Star game in
1960 at Fitton Field. His athletic accomplishments on Mount St.
James led to his selection as the Varsity Club's Crusader of
the Year in 1960.
