WORCESTER, Mass. – With the 2013-2014 academic year in full swing, the Holy Cross athletic teams move into another week of competition. The women’s tennis team begins the week with a road match at Merrimack on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 3:30 p.m. The men’s soccer team will play a pair of matches this week beginning with a home contest at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 7:00 p.m. The match will be streamed live on Crusader Vision. Click here to watch the game. The Crusaders will also travel to Bryant on Saturday, Sept. 21 for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
The volleyball team will host three home contests this week at the Holy Cross Field House, beginning with a 7:00 match versus Quinnipiac on Wednesday, Sept. 18. On Friday, Sept. 20, the Crusaders will take on Bucknell at 7:00 p.m., while on Saturday, Sept. 21, Holy Cross will entertain Lehigh at 2:00 p.m. All three matches will be streamed live on Crusader Vision. The men’s tennis team will host Coast Guard on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m. at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility, before it travels to Bryant on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1:00 p.m. The men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in a pair of events this week. On Friday, Sept. 20, both teams will run in the National Catholic Championship in South Bend, Ind. at 3:30 p.m., while on Saturday, Sept. 21, they will compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at 10:30 a.m.
The field hockey team will play two road contests this week. On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Crusaders will take on American at 12:00 p.m., while on Sunday, Sept. 22, Holy Cross will play Georgetown in College Park, Md. at 4:00 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 21, the women’s soccer team will travel to Loyola (Md.) for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
The women’s golf team will compete at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22, while the men’s golf team will wrap up the week with the Hartford Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 23-24.
