Crusader Notes For September 10
WORCESTER, Mass. – With the 2013-2014 academic year in full swing, the Holy Cross athletic teams move into another week of competition. The women’s soccer team kicks off the week with a home match versus Bryant on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium. The game will be streamed live on Crusader Vision. Click here to watch the game. The team will also play a pair of matches at the Fairfield Invitational. On Friday, Sept. 13, Holy Cross will take on Hartford at 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 15, the Crusaders will play tournament host Fairfield at 2:00 p.m.
The volleyball team will play four matches this week, beginning with a road tilt at Hartford on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7:00 p.m. The Crusaders will also compete in the Brown Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13-14. On Friday, Holy Cross will take on tournament host Brown at 7:00 p.m., while on Saturday the Crusaders will play Eastern Michigan at 10:30 a.m. and Bryant at 4:30 p.m.
The men’s tennis team will play at Stonehill on Friday, Sept. 13 at 4:00 p.m., before competing in the Connecticut College Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 14 in New London, Conn. The women’s tennis team will play in three events this week, beginning with a dual match at home versus Siena on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility at 4:00 p.m. The Crusaders will also play in the Salve Regina Doubles Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14, before coming back to Worcester, Mass. to host Connecticut College on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1:00 p.m.
The field hockey team will host two matches this week on the Hart Turf Field. On Friday, Sept. 13, the Crusaders will entertain Harvard at 7:00 p.m., while on Sunday, Sept 15, Holy Cross will face off with Sacred Heart at 2:00 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on Crusader Vision. The men’s soccer team will head to Hamden, Conn. on Saturday, Sept. 14 to take on Quinnipiac at 3:00 p.m.
The women’s golf team will compete in the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-15, while the men’s golf team will conclude this week’s action with the first of two days at the Adams Cup on Monday, Sept. 16. The tournament will conclude on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
