WORCESTER, Mass. – With the 2013-2014 academic year in full swing Holy Cross athletics continue to pick up, as many teams move into full season competition. Tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 3) at 6:00 p.m., the women’s soccer team will host Manhattan at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium for its home opener. For all those unable to attend, the game will be featured on Crusader Vision for free. Click here to watch the game.

Other Crusader teams to play this week include the field hockey team at Providence on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 7:00 p.m. and volleyball at Harvard on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7:00 p.m. Crusader fans and athletes will be kept busy this weekend as many teams compete, some in season openers. The men’s tennis team opens its season on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Stonehill for the Doubles Invitational. Women’s golf also starts the season on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Wellesley, where the Crusaders are set to face Wellesley and Merrimack. Both cross country teams will compete in the second race of the season, the Nassaney Invitational, on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 10:00 a.m. Volleyball bounces back into action against Hofstra on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1:00 p.m. in Cambridge Mass. Men’s soccer resumes play on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Dartmouth. Men’s golf begins the season on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 8:00 a.m. for the Blue Devil Invitational, and women’s soccer finishes off the weekend at Quinnipiac on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 1:00 p.m.
