Crusader Notes For April 23
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross athletic teams will participate in 23 events this week as the spring season begins to come to a close. Softball will get things started on Tuesday, April 23, when it will host Marist in a doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Freshman Field. Softball will also host a pair of Patriot League twinbills versus Bucknell on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28 with both starting at 12:00 p.m. The men’s track and field team will host New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Worcester State on Tuesday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m., before it travels to the Brown Springtime Invitational with the women’s track and field team on Sunday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. Men’s lacrosse will host its final contest of the season on Tuesday, April 23 when it will take on Dartmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Holy Cross Field. The game versus the Big Green can be viewed live on Crusader Vision. The baseball team hosts Siena on Wednesday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m. at Fitton Field and can be viewed live on Crusader Vision. Baseball will conclude its Patriot League regular season games this weekend, April 27-28, at Army. The contests on Saturday will begin at 12:00 p.m., while the games on Sunday will start at 1:00 p.m. On Friday, April 26, the women’s lacrosse team will play American in the Patriot League semifinals held in Annapolis, Md., at 7:45 p.m. Women’s tennis will compete in the Patriot League quarterfinal versus Bucknell on Friday, April 26 at 3:00 p.m. in West Point, N.Y. On Saturday, April 27, women’s rowing will travel to Rutgers to compete in a race with the Scarlet Knights and George Mason and will also race in the Beanpot Regatta on Sunday, April 28 at 8:00 a.m. Men’s golf will compete in the Patriot League Championship on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28 at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa. Women’s golf will conclude its season on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28 at the Nazareth Invitational in Pittsford, N.Y. at the Monroe Golf Club. Men’s rowing will wrap up the week’s events on Sunday, April 28, as it will host Bucknell at 11:00 a.m. on Lake Quinsigamond.
