WORCESTER, Mass. – Eleven contests will be played this week as the Holy Cross athletic teams continue fall action. Women’s tennis will get the week started, as it will host Stonehill on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 3:30 p.m. at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. The women’s soccer team will play two Patriot League games on the road this week. The Crusaders will travel to Bucknell on Friday, Oct. 5 for a 7:00 p.m. start, and Colgate on Sunday, Oct. 7 for a 1 p.m. kickoff. Field hockey will play on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 1:00 p.m. as they take on Bucknell in Patriot League action at the Hart Turf Field. The team will raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by holding a “Think Pink” day. To promote the cause the players will be donning pink socks and shoelaces. Men’s soccer will face off against Patriot League foe Colgate on the road this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Volleyball will cap off Saturday’s events by playing on the road at Army for a 7:30 p.m. contest. Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams will run at the New England Championship on Sunday, Oct. 7. The women will start at 12:00 p.m. and the men will race at 12:45 p.m.
