WORCESTER, Mass. – Sixteen contests will be played this week as the Holy Cross athletic teams continue fall action. The men’s golf team got things started yesterday, Sept. 24, and continued action this morning, Tuesday, Sept. 25, with an 8:00 a.m. tee-time at the Hartford Invitational. The men’s soccer team will also be in action this afternoon traveling to Northeastern at 6:00 p.m., while the volleyball team will be at Harvard at 7:00 p.m. The women’s tennis team will host Hartford on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 3:30 p.m. and return to action on Friday, Sept. 28, with a 3:30 match at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts versus St. Anselm. The men’s and women’s cross country teams will run in the Paul Short Invitational on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Men’s tennis will return to the courts on Friday for a 3:30 p.m. match versus Siena while the volleyball team opens up Patriot League action, hosting Colgate at 7:00 p.m. That game can also be seen live on Crusader Vision. Men’s golf will get things started on Saturday, Sept. 29, with an 8:00 a.m. match at the McDonald Cup. The field hockey team will play its first Patriot League game at Lehigh beginning at 11:00 a.m. Men’s tennis will host Wagner at 12:00 p.m. while the women’s tennis team will travel to Providence for a 3:00 p.m. match. The women’s soccer team returns to the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium to open conference play versus Army at 1:00 p.m. while the men’s soccer team travels to Lafayette for its first Patriot League action at 3:00 p.m. The volleyball team will play its third match of the week at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, hosting Bucknell. Saturday’s women’s soccer and volleyball games can both be seen live on Crusader Vision. The men’s golf team will conclude the week's action at the McDonald Cup on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 8:00 a.m.
