WORCESTER, Mass. – The Crusader spring athletic teams will compete in 32 events this week. The softball team will kick things off on Tuesday, April 17, with a doubleheader at Freshman Field beginning at 3:00 p.m. versus Siena. The men’s track and field team will host the Holy Cross Decathlon on Wednesday and Thursday, April 18-19, beginning at 11:30 a.m. (4/18) and 11:00 a.m. (4/19). The women’s track and field team will host the Holy Cross Heptathlon on the same days beginning at 12:00 p.m. (4/18) and 11:30 a.m. (4/19). Men’s and women’s tennis, baseball and women’s lacrosse are also all in action on Wednesday. The men’s tennis team will travel to Boston University for a 3:30 p.m. match while the women’s team will travel to Clark for a 5:00 p.m. match. Baseball is set to play a doubleheader at Brown beginning at 2:30 p.m. and women’s lacrosse will travel to Central Connecticut for a 7:00 p.m. contest. The women’s tennis team will head to Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, April 20 through Sunday, April 22 for the Patriot League Championship. Women’s golf will compete in its final event of the season at the Jack Leaman Invitational beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, and Sunday. Women’s rowing is set to face Colby, Connecticut College, Ithaca and William Smith on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and then race against Connecticut on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. The men’s rowing team will travel to Northeastern on Saturday to race at 7:00 a.m. and will host Rutgers on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. The men’s and women’s track and field teams will host the annual home meet on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Baseball and softball will each play a two conference doubleheaders over the weekend with baseball traveling to Lehigh for games beginning at 12:00 p.m. both days and softball traveling to Bucknell for a 1:00 p.m. start on Saturday and 12:00 p.m. start on Sunday. Men’s lacrosse will visit Army on Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. game while women’s lacrosse will be at Lafayette for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
