Crusader Notes For April 10
WORCESTER, Mass. – With students returning from Easter recess the Crusader spring athletic teams will compete in 30 events this week. The women’s golf team continues action at the Big South Championship today, April 10, and tomorrow, April 11. The women’s tennis team has a full week of action beginning this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. when it travels to Wheaton. The team will then travel to Bryant on Thursday, April 12, and Army on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, to take on conference rivals Army and Lafayette. The baseball team is scheduled to play six games this week beginning this afternoon when it host Central Connecticut for one game at 5:00 p.m. The team will then travel to Dartmouth tomorrow for a 3:30 p.m. contest and head to Annapolis, Md. for two doubleheaders with Navy on Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15, beginning at 12:00 p.m. both days. The men’s lacrosse team rounds out today’s action as it hosts Bryant at Holy Cross Field at 7:00 p.m. The team will also face Providence on the road on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Women’s lacrosse will travel to Harvard tomorrow for a 7:00 p.m. game and then to Bethlehem, Pa. to take on Lehigh on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The softball team is in the middle of a 12 game home stand and will host Hartford on Thursday for a twin bill beginning at 3:00 p.m. The team will then face Lehigh on Saturday and Sunday in doubleheaders at Freshman Field beginning at 12:00 p.m. each day. Men’s tennis will play one match this week at home on Thursday against Hartford at 3:30 p.m. Women’s rowing will compete at the Knecht Cup on Saturday and Sunday and men’s rowing will travel to Princeton, N.J. on Saturday to take on Georgetown at 3:00 p.m. Men’s golf will take part in the Rhody Invitational on Saturday and Sunday and men’s and women’s track and field completes the list of Crusader athletic teams in action this week as they will travel to Amherst, Mass. for the UMass Invitational on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
