WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross has named Cameron Parker as its new assistant equipment manager, as announced by athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. Parker will work with the hockey and lacrosse teams as well as assist in the equipment needs for all 27 of Holy Cross’ varsity athletic teams. He will handle the hockey equipment needs with Bauer and lacrosse equipment requests with Maverik.
Parker is a recent graduate from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, N.H. where he spent three years working as the men’s ice hockey team equipment manager. He handled all game management requirements for both home and away contests including NCAA hockey paperwork during the games. Additionally, Parker has spent the past four years serving as supervisor for the Southern New Hampshire University athletic department handling equipment for numerous Division-II athletic programs. His responsibilities included assisting with the maintenance of the athletic fields, event set-up and breakdown, completing vendor requirements and overseeing audio visual tasks such as music and video for games.
Parker has also worked with the New Hampshire FisherCats, the AA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, where he assisted in stadium operations, promotions, merchandising, field maintenance and group sales. His involvement with the FisherCats included the 2011 Eastern League All-Star Game where he worked directly with the players, coaches and front office staff from all the participating organizations. During his senior year at Southern New Hampshire, Parker also served as a customer relations intern for the Detroit Tigers during their spring training in Florida, assisting in game promotions and other tasks at the ballpark.
A 2012 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Parker graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management along with a minor in sport and special event management.
