WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross has named Kristin Farrell an assistant athletic trainer, it was announced by head athletic trainer Anthony Cerundolo and athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr.
Farrell will work with the Holy Cross field hockey and men's lacrosse teams, while assisting with a number of other sports. She spent the last two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Florida, where she worked on a daily basis with the women's tennis squad.
Prior to her time at Florida, Farrell was an athletic training student at Springfield College, working with the baseball, volleyball and gymnastics teams. She also spent time assisting with the football squad at the University of Massachusetts and the ice hockey team at Western New England College. In addition, Farrell had an internship with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
A certified and licensed member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Farrell received her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Springfield in 2006, and her master's degree in human performance from Florida in 2008.
