Camp Philosophy

Our camp has two important qualities - a strong soccer training curriculum and a residential camp experience. Our day camp is an excellent program and a lot of our first-year day campers become overnight residents. The overnight camp experience provides us the opportunity to create evening games, non-soccer activities, and an environment where campers can meet new friends from all over the Northeast.

The soccer training progresses from individual skill to team tactics focusing on different aspects of the game each day. Our coaches come from all over New England and Great Britain. They are seasoned professionals who create competitive sessions in a festive atmosphere.

Meet the Staff

Darren Gallagher

Coach Gallagher is headed into his 7th season as the Crusaders' Head Coach. In two of his five seasons, the program has won a record number of games. Coach Gallagher is from Glasgow, Scotland and has been coaching soccer in the United States since 1997. He came to Holy Cross from Mass Premier Soccer where he was the technical director and the head coach of the Boston Renegades (former USL W-league). He led them to impressive play-off appearances in 2008 and 2009. He has also coached the Mass Premier Soccer under-16 through under-17 girls and the under-17 boys. Four of those teams won National titles. Coach Gallagher holds his NSCAA Premier and Advanced Licenses.

Heather Lipp

Coach Lipp is headed into her 9th season as the Assistant Coach for the Crusaders. Prior to Holy Cross, Lipp coached for a year at Clark University (Worcester, MA) and for three years at Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH) where she helped to lead the program to its first-ever conference tournament and NCAA tournament game. Coach Lipp holds her US Soccer Federation B license. She is also a club coach for the New England Football Club.

College Coaches and Players

Along with Darren and Heather comes a wide variety of coaches from around the New England area. Players from the current Holy Cross Soccer team will also be in attendance in order to ensure the players have the best possible time and are engulfed in the college game.

The players will be living in Mulledy Hall, a Freshman and Sophomore dorm located towards the top of campus. There will be two players to a room. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, so it is suggested that you bring a fan. There is a keypad combination in order to secure your belongings. There are no personal bathrooms in each room, but rather communal bathrooms down the hall.

All meals will be held in the newly-renovated Kimball Dining Hall.
